VICTORIAN SCRAPBOOK

As I already told you if you didn't know already antique and vintage ribbon is one of those trims that you can use even if you don't know how to sew! Its not just for trimming garments or interior decorating but for scrap booking as well... The Victorians were big into family photo albums and preserving those family memories as years went by. Today scrap booking has been rediscovered but have we really explored all the options there is out there to create the most exquisite, most unique memories to celebrate those closest to us?? I do believe this photo album was made in Italy, and the cover is real leather.

French Elegance in your Home with Antique and Vintage Ribbon

Hello my lovely ladies! Its the middle to end of July already! I'm sure a lot of people are on their way home from summer vacations or are coming home soon. I'm in the process of planning a trip to the elegant and enchanting land of Paris in about a year from now. Some of those hotels are to die for aren't they? Like that Ritz Carlton ! Some of the rooms in the Ritz are so old, and are furnished with gorgeous antique french furniture from the turn of the century. That just got me thinking..A lot of the old antique ribbon originally came out of from Paris and there is some decorator ribbon that would be perfect for a Ritz Carlton type hotel bedroom. Let me show you what I mean.. Here are some gorgeous ribbons from the early 20th century made in Paris that would work beautifully to trim some curtains or pillows for that elegant french look in your home. A very light aqua ribbon in a nice wide width would look simply dazzling in a french boudoir inspired room for the bathroom or the bedroom.




Trim a duvet cover in this gorgeous candy stripe soft pink floral ribbon trim....These nice wide trims are truly perfect for trimming curtains, pillows, duvet covers, etc.

Hi Everyone!!

Its almost the middle of July! If your a gardening freak like me then you know that all flowers are in full bloom right now!! So you know what that means?! It means you start cutting those flowers and decorating your house with them! You should see the inside of my house!! Vases upon Vases of flowers everywhere! I just love flowers!!

I don't feel that everyone needs to go out to a florist and buy an expensive bouquet of roses to have a gorgeous wedding bouquet or flower display for your home.. You can get that right from your back yard or local plant sale! If your a future bride to be make your own bouquet! Your gonna be throwing the bouquet over your head at the end of the wedding anyway so why waste all that money on a florist for right?? In March I ventured out into Philadelphia to see the Philadelphia Flower show! The theme was Gardens of Paris. It was breathtaking!!! Now the only element these floral bouquets were missing was some gorgeous antique ribbon to wrap them in... I feel that every bouquet of flowers should be wrapped in antique ribbon...Here are floral bouquets to inspire!!! and antique ribbon to wrap and bow them in...
